A Note From the Creator
Over the years working with children in our martial arts programs, I’ve seen how important it is for kids to learn skills like emotional awareness, communication, and conflict resolution.
Many kids want to do the right thing—they just need simple tools and opportunities to practice.
These curriculum cards grew out of years of working with kids and helping them develop confidence, kindness, and resilience through movement, conversation, and real-life scenarios.
Now I’m refining the program and inviting a small group of educators and youth leaders to help test it.

What Kids Learn
The cards focus on practical life skills kids can use right away.
Social-Emotional Awareness
Kids learn how emotions show up in their bodies and how to recognize emotions in others.
For example, in “Let Your Body Do the Talking,” children walk around acting out emotions like:
excited
sad
worried
happy
angry
They begin noticing how emotions affect body language, posture, movement, and facial expressions. This builds emotional awareness and empathy.
Conflict Resolution
Kids practice simple ways to handle everyday disagreements and small problems.
They learn strategies like:
talking it out
walking away
sharing
taking turns
cooling off
making a deal
They also practice ways to respond to teasing or bullying while staying calm and confident.
Communication Skills
Kids learn how to express their feelings respectfully and clearly using tools like “I Feel” messages.
For example:
When (a fact happens)
I feel (a feeling)
because (explain why)
So what I would like is (make a request)
These skills help kids build strong friendships, self-confidence, and healthy communication habits.
Body Awareness and Calm Focus
Some cards also teach simple practices that help kids regulate their emotions and focus their minds.
Activities include:
breathing exercises
stretching and movement
calming techniques
These practices help kids reset their energy and develop emotional resilience.
