Kick-Ass! Class
(For Women Over 50)
A Safe Place to Reclaim Your Strength in a Fun and Supportive Community.
A woman-only martial arts experience that blends levity, mindfulness, movement, strength, mobility, fitness—and general kick-assery.
We’ll strike pads, explore practical self-defense and boundary setting, build strength and coordination, play with martial arts movement, and have a good time doing it.
No experience necessary. No pressure to perform. No need to be anything other than exactly where you are.
You deserve to nurture a positive relationship with your body, your strength, and your capacity.
And honestly?
Everyone feels better after they kick things.
6:30-7:30pm Mondays - Starts October 5th, 2026
Move. Play. Get Strong.
This class offers a wonderful alternative to the curriculum and progression of our traditional belt system. You can simply come, learn, move, play, get stronger, and enjoy the practice—without having to train toward a belt.
And, of course, if at some point you decide you'd like to explore the traditional martial arts path, that option is always there.
The class is one hour long, and your first class is always free.

“Spirit of the Heart is a top-notch Martial Arts school that lets its students blaze their own path while still serving as strong and excellent guidance. It strikes the perfect balance of valuing its students' individuality and creativity while still teaching them a martial arts style. It is an open, kind, and wonderful community that will make you feel welcome and likely have a huge impact on your life and happiness.” — Joe Mascis
“I feel like I found the judgement free zone, it’s hard for a 47 yo to hang with teens and twenty something’s but Morgan’s energy is contagious. It’s fun to get taught by him, no two classes are ever the same.” - Gary Wilson
“Silat has been a part of how I take care of myself for six years now. The combination of physical learning and conditioning, and the mindset of self defense and confidence is empowering. My Silat time is an opportunity to let go of life’s stresses and constraints, and there is so much to explore in this art form that each class is different from the last. I have gained better core strength and endurance as I get older, rather than less, and every week I get to spend time with a great community of people. I feel rejuvenated after every class and ready to take on the world, once again.” - Jen Williams
